January Favourites

January Favourites

I’m really excited about writing my first (of many hopefully) favourites post. I’ve been reading blogs for a few years now and really enjoy this type of post – mainly because I’m nosy and like to see what everyone has been using. So before I ramble on too much, let’s get stuck into my January Favourites

Liz Earle Botanical Essence No15 perfume – I’ve recently rediscovered this perfume, not sure why I stopped using it as its a lovely fragrance. Definitely more for winter as its quite heavy and a bit grown up/sexy (I’m really bad at describing fragrance aren’t I). Liz Earle describes this as “Fresh, spicy notes of pink pepper, cinnamon and bergamot are complemented by captivating Damask rose, cypriol and Indian sandalwood, while the cocooning qualities of tonka bean and Bourbon vanilla create a feminine sensuality with a clean, fresh undertone.” Not sure if that makes things any clearer – maybe best to pop along to a Liz Earle counter for a sniff

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil – I did a full review on this here. This has quickly become a go-to product and I’ve been applying every night as part of my routine and reapply throughout the day.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate – This is a recent addition to my routine. I was looking for a new treatment at the end of the year and picked this up after reading amazing reviews. This really does stand up to the hype. My skin looks so much better after using this. It is quite pricey but because you use so little I think it will last a while.

Carex Fun Edition Hand wash – Bit of an odd one this. I picked it up a few weeks ago mainly because it smells of cola bottle sweets – and it really does smell like a cola bottle. Never really think about what hand wash I’m buying (normally whatever is on offer) but I have really enjoyed using this. They also do a strawberry laces and bubblegum scents – I may have to pick these up next.

Olivia Burton Watch – Thought I would mention my watch as I wear it every day but don’t really give it much thought. Mine is by Olivia Burton – I love the hummingbird design with gold detailing and black leather strap. I can’t find my exact watch online anymore but this is similar.

Scarves – My love for scarves has been rekindled this month (must have something to do with this freezing weather), they really do make an outfit. I think adding a scarf to a plain outfit can look very chic and put together. You can see a few of my collection in the picture (from New Look, Primark and Zara).

There you have it my first monthly favourites (yay). What have you been loving this month?
