7 Things to Buy From Everlane

I’m sure most of you will have heard of Everlane before but for those you don’t know the brand, Everlane is a US based ethical fashion brand. Everlane is one of the few ethical fashion brands with a minimal aesthetic, if you love ZARA you’ll love Everlane. Everlane works on the concept of ‘radical transparency’ which means knowing their factories, knowing the true costs and always asking why. One of the things I love about Everlane is they list all their factories on their website along with what’s made where. This is very unusual for an online store. Did you know their scarves are made just down the road in the Scottish Borders in a family run factory?

Living in Scotland shopping with Everlane isn’t easy as they don’t offer an international delivery option. However, for the month of November Everlane will be offering international delivery. So now is the perfect time to stock up on some chic cashmere. Alongside delivery for a month, Everlane is also offering one country the chance to win delivery for life. The country with the most votes wins. Obviously, I think everyone needs to vote for the UK to win!

7 things to buy from Everlane

7 things to buy from Everlane during international delivery month

The Modern Oxford $175 (£143.39) – How beautiful are these shoes? I absolutely love the oxblood colour and the pointed toe makes them more elegant than standard oxford shoes. These would be great for work over the autumn/winter or as a smarter shoe option if you don’t want to wear heels. They’re made in Italy with 100% Italian leather so the $175 price tag is fantastic value. If you’re not keen on the oxblood they also come in black, cognac and blush.

Ribbed Wool/Cashmere Oversized Cardigan $140 (£114.71) – This oversized cardigan looks so cosy and warm. Big oversized cardigans are so useful during the colder months. Throw it on over a summer dress to transition it into winter or wear over a roll neck on a cold day. I recommend keeping a cardigan next to your desk during winter to keep the chill at bay while you work. I imagine the cashmere mix would make this so soft and snuggly.

The Cocoon Coat $265 (£217.14) – This is such a good price for a wool coat (most are around the £300 mark). I love the cocoon shape and of course, everyone needs a camel coat in their wardrobe. This will be so cosy and warm layered over a chunky knit and oversized scarf. If you’re planning to invest in a new coat this year, then this is a great option. It also comes in Navy and Black if camel isn’t your colour.

Cashmere Square Turtleneck $155 (£127) – I love the oversized square shape of this sweater. This has a very ZARA feel to it, but its 100% cashmere and I imagine in another league when it comes to quality. This looks like a great day to day piece and would be so easy to throw on with jeans for a simple but stylish outfit.

The Cashmere Crew $100 (£81.94) – Everyone needs a simple crew neck in their autumn/winter wardrobe and this 100% cashmere one is amazing value. It’s so hard to find cashmere under $100 so grab this while you can. Perfect for layering and can be dressed down on the weekend or dressed up for work, this really is a versatile piece. I’ve picked the charcoal grey but they have a range of colours including black, heather grey, hot berry, camel, navy, ivory and royal blue so finding the colour for you is easy.

The Cashmere Sweatpant $140 (£114.71) – How comfortable do cashmere sweatpants sound? As someone who spends a lot of time at home and therefore wearing loungewear, the idea of cashmere sweatpants is really appealing. Just imagine changing into these after coming in from the cold to snuggle up in front of the telly. They are very expensive sweatpants but we all need a little luxury in our lives, don’t we?

The Petra Backpack $330 (£270.40) – This is my most expensive pick, but you get so much wear out of a good quality leather bag its worth it. This little backpack is so cute and like the shoes made in Italy with 100% Italian leather. Would be a great everyday casual bag option.

Ah I love everlane! Have always wanted to buy but being in the UK I figured it was really risky with sizing and returns if necessary. Have you had any of their stuff before?

I haven’t actually tried any thing myself yet because of the whole living in the UK thing. Think I may order something next month even with the poor exchange rate their cashmere is an amazing price. Heard nothing but good reviews about them.

I’ve heard so much about this brand lately! Apparently they are really good to their employees too – going against the grain a little and nothing is minimum wage.

Totally with you on the Zara thing – that backpack is dreamy

Have you tried much from there?

The downer[s] for me about Everlane and many ethical brands is sizes and colours are limited and not to my taste. Oh well. I think Gretchen’s Closet did several posts about this.

Completely agree one of the hardest parts of finding ethical fashion is finding brands which suit your taste, there just isn’t the same choice as the high street. I’ll check out Gretchen’s posts, thanks x
